I received a phone call from Travis this afternoon while he was riding Oakley! He and Tony trailered Oakley and Coal over to Monahans and went for a ride with Mr. G. The three guys rode about a mile and a half to the country store and I was able to hear Travis clucking and quietly talking to Oakley as they rode along!
I could see them in my minds eye, Travis on Oakley, Tony riding Coal and Mr. G. on his mare, Blaze. You may remember that TnT rode Blaze out for Mr. G. Kate and Rusty went along on the ride, however, Mrs. G. came to get them before the guys headed out into the desert. Kate and Rusty and the pups have not been getting a lot of exercise with TnT working 12 hour shifts.
Cody and Jessie were back at the G's home in the horse trailer taking a nap after their busy day with TnT.
Later when the guys were heading home, Travis called again to let me know that Oakley did very well for the remainder of the ride. He said that she had remembered a good portion of her training and just needed a little reinforcing of a few things. He also said that her trot is evening out. Good girl, Oakley! And thank you Travis for sharing that moment with me even though we are 1200 miles apart!!
Miss you guys and I thank God that everything is working out for you in Texas!

Glad Oakley did well! How nice of the boys to call, and include you on the ride.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
It was wonderful to know that my horse is acting like her old self again. Now Travis will have a horse he can ride. We will have to wait on breeding her for awhile. I want to be out in Texas to take care of her through her pregnancy anyway, so this works out!
