Howdy From Pecos!!!

I am here in Pecos, Texas! We pulled in about 11:30pm last night and before turning in I petted Katy, Rusty, Jesse and Cody. Kate and Rusty remembered me and gave me plenty of kisses, Cody and Jesse on the other hand weren't to sure who I was for a little bit. Jesse accepted me quicker than Cody, but it didn't take long for him to realize that I was okay with his mom and pop vying for my attention.

The guys said that they wanted to get up at 7:30am, so my inner clock rang at 7:20am! Our first stop was at the holding yard to feed the horses! This picture shows Tony gathering Oakley so that I can rub her forehead for the first time in 6 months! The guys are right she is more at ease and has a gentler way about her.
The next picture is Clancey as he heads toward me and the camera. Travis is in the back with Cahlibur, Belle and Oakley. We fed and then headed over to the feed store.
I met the guys friends there and got to see my first live wild hogs that were out back in the hog trailer! And I found out that the "feed store" is not just a feed store, it is a Western Clothes and accessories store as well. I found a wonderful pair of Tony Lama boots that were the perfect fit!
After meeting a couple more people, we headed to the truck stop for breakfast and met another gentleman that came by later to pick out his puppy from Kate's litter. The puppies are absolutely adorable! They are stockier than Kate and Rusty's first litter and it looks like ShyAnne is the only red in both litters unless the red boy in the first litter kept his coloring.
