2008 "West of the Pecos Rodeo"...

Even though the training of our horses has been put on hold with TnT working 12 hour shifts, preparations for local events has not! The 126th West of the Pecos Rodeo will be held June 25 - 28.

As many of you know, TnT and I are on the Rodeo Committee and because of this all our extra time has been channeled into getting ready for the rodeo!

Slack starts early on Monday, the 23rd. The Rodeo parade begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the 25th and the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday, the 27th. Saturday the 28th, the "West of the Pecos" Classic Team Roping opens their books at 8:00 a.m. in the Buck Jackson Arena. For more information on the 126th "West of the Pecos Rodeo" visit www.pecosrodeo.com.

I haven't been to a rodeo in years. I think it would be fun to see one with "real" cowboys. Somehow, it just doesn't seem like cowboys can be real in Washington. lol
