Even though Belle is not going to be as tall as Coal, she is stocky. In the first picture Tony is demonstrating how wide her chest is! Tony's hands are huge. In the second picture, I caught Belle asking Tony for some attention with my horse, Oakley, showing her jealousy. As it turned out Tony found an itchy spot in the third picture. The last two pictures were just taken of Belle today! The close-up picture of her shows her sweet attitude! You can see it in her eyes!! Belle will be 7 years old this Spring and she is slowly losing her grey.
You can also see Travis on the other side of Calibur working Oakley and Coal is tied up on the fence in the top of the picture. Clancey must have been nosing around Tony!
My favorite picture is Belle asking for attention...On close inspection of her scar, it looks like a wild mustang to me! I will get a close-up and show you what I mean...
Okay now...you are going to have to work with me here and use your imagination like I did! To start with the wild mustang is facing away from us. Starting at the bottom, the back legs are spread in an alert stance...a vague tail is lifted high to the horses' right side. Above the back legs you can see a rounded back that lightens as it curves downward toward the left side of the mustangs' stomach. The front left leg is stretching at the same angle as the back left leg and at this point the wild mane flies over the left shoulder splitting to flow down both sides of the neck as you work your way up to the mustangs' head that is turned to the right with ears alert for any sign of danger! There is a shadow of the wild mustangs' head indicating that the sun is behind her...
Observation: The wild mustang I see is basically a hieroglyphic relief pattern with quite a bit of detail when you look at it closely!! Let me know if you can see the wild mustang or if it is a figment of my imagination!!!
