Boys vs Girls...

I just love this picture! Cody is as big as his pop, Rusty, and while Jesse is as big as her mom, Kate, she is just as stout as Rusty. To the left of the truck, you can barely see Clancey's head grazing on leftover alfalfa. The boys paired up on the left as they step out onto the bumper of the Dodge and the girls wait like "ladies" for TnT to load up themselves!

Kate's Puppies @ One Month...

At one month old Kate's pups are already showing signs of being stocky! The only little girl is peeking out (from the right side) behind her brother with mostly White 'n' Black. She has a reddish brown spot on each cheek as if she were wearing rouge.

These pictures were taken by TnT February 2, 2008.

Puppy Update...

Okay, here is the scoop on the new homes for Kate 'n' Rusty's summer puppies!!!

Black 'n' White Boy is now living in Pecos, Texas with Tony and his name is "Cody". Black 'n' White Girl Too a.k.a. "Jessie" is living in Pecos, Texas with Travis. This picture was taken with Tony's cell phone on the trip back to Pecos! Both "Jessie" upside down and "Cody" right side up are sleeping in between the seats. That is Tony's blue jeaned leg on the left and above "Jessie's" rump is the accelerator!

Amanda or "Mandy" who we used to call Black 'n' White Girl is living with our egg lady. When I dropped by to give back some egg cartons, Mandy was helping take care of 3 grandkids, a little boy and twin girls! The kids were very gentle with Mandy and I could tell that she had a very good home!!

Rust 'n' White Boy is running around BJ Farms with the foreman. The owner of BJ Farms was looking at this guy and as the foreman scooped him up, the owner said "Oh well, I will get to see the puppy around here since this guy is my foreman!"

Australian $10 Dollar Bill

And both Rust 'n' White Girls are my baby girls! I changed Rust 'n' White Girl's name to "Cheyenne" and not sure if I will spell her name "Cheyenne or ShyAnne". And Rust 'n' White Girl Too is "Shiloh". Shiloh is smaller than ShyAnne. Shiloh has the white face with freckles and ShyAnne has the zigzag on the back of her neck. The girls already know how to come, sit and I am working on them so they will not jump up on anyone! I am also working on them to come when I whistle with my hands. (I can't whistle otherwise!) We live on 5 acres and I do not want to holler for the dogs when I want them. Diesel and Dunny already know the drill and are helping with the training!!

Black 'n' White Boy has his new home with this worker at BJ Farms. This guy was delighted to get his new puppy and showered kisses on his head as he took him over to the white truck bed that is in the background.

Available Puppies...

The puppies are going to be 3 months old in a couple more days! We only have two puppies left to find a home! The Black 'n' White Girl is now living with our egg lady. She will have a wonderful life and will learn that chicken, turkey and doves are part of the family!!

The little Rust 'n' White Boy will be running around with the foreman of BJ Farms, where we picked up our last ton of hay on Saturday. And the White 'n' Black Boy now belongs to one of the farm hands there at the farms!

Now we have the twins to find a home for. Black 'n' White Girl Too and Black 'n' White Boy were glad to get back home Saturday afternoon. For the trip to town we draped a tarp over the back seat in Tony's Ford Dually, then added a couple of blankets for a temporary nursery. My mother and I gathered the five available puppies, a gallon of water and a pail and headed to town to pick up our hay.

We took my brother's Chihuahua, Luke, with us to babysit. Luke turned into the biggest baby, he wouldn't leave my mother's lap. On the ride home we finally realized what was wrong! Ever time he looked into the back seat...another puppy was gone! He was afraid that he was going to be handed out those back doors!!! Poor little guy...

TnT's Puppies!!!

Wow! They did it!! TnT picked their puppies. It was a very hard decision because all of the puppies are adorably irresistible!!! So without further ado...Travis picked Rust 'n' White Girl and Tony chose Rust 'n' White Girl Too. Now they will have to name them. Travis informed me that he may take 2 weeks to name his little girl, so that he can find a cool Australian name for her. I found Tony on the internet looking up Cherokee Indian names.

Katy 'n' Rusty's Puppies @ 6 Weeks Old...

Finally I have some time to post the most recent pictures of the puppies! They have grown so quickly and I didn't get pictures posted as much as I wanted. If time permits I will do a post on each puppy and who their new family is. It has been very hard for TnT to pick their puppies. We are really close to a decision. I think!!! LOL!!!

It has been bugging me that I named the puppies with numbers, so from now on they will be:
Black 'n' White Boy, Black 'n' White Girl, Black 'n' White Girl Too, Rust 'n' White Boy, Rust 'n' White Girl, Rust 'n' White Girl Too, and White 'n' Black Boy. That is until they are named by their new owners!

Katy 'n' Rusty's Puppies @ 15 days...

Here you go everyone! The puppies are growing faster than I can post pictures, however, I just find out how to make these Smilebox creations faster! Becky, you ought to be happy about that!! It looks like I will be using Smilebox instead of Picture Trail. I ran out of room over there and didn't want to pay for more. Besides all of the choices at Smilebox are more to my liking!

I will work on getting you caught up on puppies pictures so that I am posting the same day that the pictures are taken. The puppies are already 7 weeks old. Since there are seven of them, I will try to get a picture of each puppy with both Rusty and Katy. TnT are getting close to picking out their puppies, then I can pick mine, and then we can find homes for the rest before I keep them all! We have prospects for the last four puppies...actually it looks like we have more homes that we have puppies!!! Let us know which is your favorite puppy!

Katy 'n' Rusty's Puppies @ 11 days old...

Cool Slideshows!

In these pictures you can see how big the puppies are getting in Travis' hands! I still can't get the guys to say which puppies they are leaning toward...they keep telling me that they want to wait till the puppies get a little older so that they can see their personalities! Also, in a couple of the pictures you can see their freckles!!

I am setting up each slideshow with the puppies in the same order...so the first puppy is Black 'n' White Boy, then Black 'n' White Girl's 1 & 2, followed by Rust 'n' White Boy, Rust 'n' White Girl's 1 & 2, and White 'n' Black Boy. I added a couple of pictures of TnT petting the puppies and a couple of all seven. They seemed to like their igloo without the blanket. Every time I looked in on them they had the blanket pushed aside and they were either laying upside down on their backs or in the groove on the side of the igloo!

Katy 'n' Rusty's Puppies @ 10 days old...

Cool Slideshows!

Back on the first of July, Katy 'n' Rusty's puppies were 10 days old. More and more little freckles are popping up on their faces, legs and toes and their eyes are starting to open more! It looks like the black 'n' white girl 1 is the smallest of the bunch. We've tried to bring Rusty in to see his puppies, but Katy will have nothing of it! We will not press the issue, because Rusty ends up paying for it later.

Update on Katy 'n' Rusty's Puppies...

Cool Slideshows!

Well...it looks like we have four girls and three boys! Everyone does have white tipped tails and no dew claws. Travis helped me get individual pictures yesterday, so these are day old pictures of our little sweethearts!!! Since we have no idea who was born first, I have listed them in alphabetical order. All seven were sleeping peacefully a few minutes ago!!!

I guess the official (quote...unquote) word is that Rusty is Red Border Collie and Queensland! And Miss Katy is Border Collie. They are not papered so we can't prove this. Both Katy and Rusty were rescued out of the oilfield and came to us at about 2 or 3 months old.
