When I got home Sunday night after cleaning the mares pens and feeding and watering all five horses, my mother told me that TnT would be calling back at 10pm...in half an hour! I will tell you later why I was over at the stables until such a late hour!! Well, at exactly 10pm, I received a call from Tony! It was 3pm on Monday in Cairns, Australia. They were calling to let me know that they FINALLY made it to Cairns. They were delayed a little bit by the computers going down at LAX, so that when they landed in Sydney, expecting a 2 hour layover, they went through customs and walked right onto the plane bound for Cairns. Phew...that was close!!! Tony said the weather was a bit warm but felt really good. They bought a phone card since they naturally had no cell phone service. Tony asked about the horses, dogs and puppies and said that they would call every other day to touch base. We still have a few details to square away before they move to Texas. I could hear the excitement in his voice and knew that he and Travis were having a great time just being in Australia!!! When we talked about the time difference he told me that I had just received a call from the future!
The photograph was taken on Saturday right before Travis and Tony left on the 3 hour drive to the airport in Los Angeles. From left to right: Honey the Pomeranian/Chihuahua "guard dog" (Dunny was too close to my dad), Travis, my mother Phyllis, my dad George, and Tony. Dunny is one of the pups from Katy's first litter by the Desert Stray and the little Chihuahua is Luke my brother's dog.

LOVE your blog! Your horses are gorgeous and so are your dogs!!
That's great that they got there safe and sound! They will have all kinds of stories to tell you about their trip. Who did the dive at the Great Barrier Reef??????? Yikes! Nice picture of your family and dogs. Lots of dogs! How are the puppies doing?
Hi Guys!! I am glad that they had a community computer at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort! We can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories (that you won't tell me on the phone)!!
Your pups, meaning Kate and Rusty, miss you. Over at the stables, John noticed that they were not their usual happy selves. Kinda mopey. I have been taking them with me so that they are keeping to their schedule.
When I moved Clancey yesterday, each time I looked for them they were laying close somewhere in the shade!!!
Love ya, Mum
Thank you EquineSpirit! Aren't all horses and dogs and cats gorgeous!!
Hi Midlife Mom! I hope that they are journaling like they did on their Sierra Nevada Pack Trip last year.
Yes, we have lots of dogs! 6 adult dogs and 7 puppies right now!! The puppies are doing great, growing fast and are very quiet compared to Katy's other litters. They don't yip all day long and only talk to us when we are close by. I will get more pictures of them posted a.s.a.p.
